Destare presents - The Captain~Salls Orchestra

The Captain~Salls Orchestra (CSO) is a central Massachusetts acoustic duo formed in 2010 and comprised Of Chris "Captain"Coombs on acoustic guitar and Carolyn Salls on vocals. At times the orchestra is expanded to include guests on drums, bass, guitars, harmonica, horns, etc.

Chris "Captain" Coombs has played acoustic and electric guitars for many present and previous acts such as Kellie and Captain(Kellie Girouard), Moonstruck (Heidi-Jo Hanson, Kellie Girouard), Thick Bovine aka Brian and Captain(Brian Vautor), The City Boys (John Nickerson), Total Domination aka Todo (Dean DiMarzio), The Sufferin' @#!*% , Andromeda Taxi, The Ethan Stone Band, and with other solo performers including Brian Chaffee, Brian Richard, Scott Babineau, Laurie Babineau, Fern and Rita, Tim LaRoche (of Nashville Star), Tim Harrington, Charlie D and others. Chris has opened for The Allman Brothers, Phil Lesh, Levon Helms, Wide Spread Panic, Duke Levine, and The Fools. Chris also teaches guitar and music lessons at City Music in Leominster, Acton Music Center, and is available privately as well.

Carolyn Salls plays trumpet, sings leads, and has played in many local (Western Mass) bands such as Evenspeak, The Johnny Stevens Band, The Skeletones, Deaths Head, The Ubangee Death Chocolates, and sits on backgrounds vocals for many more.
